Tonight: Joy Yates, a highly acclaimed jazz singer who shared studio and stage with Neil Sedaka, Van Morrison, Cliff Richard, and many more. Plus Kim Hart who rose to fame in NZ in the mid 1070s. From Pukepoto, in the far north Joy Yates has lived in Australia for many years and is married to accomplished pianist Dave MacRae. With a long list of musical credits, Joy has devoted 20 years to training students of the Sydney Music Conservatorium and her own Sing for Joy school.Kim Hart – Kim rose to fame in NZ in the mid 1970’s. She was not long out of high school. A favourite of the local entertainment shows of the time, Kim’s NZ career highlights included touring with John Rowles and releasing her one and only album. Kim was part of the exodus of NZ/Māori musicians to Australia in the early eighties.
