Kiwi Buddha tells the story of how a six-year old child, born in New Zealand of Tibetan parents, came to be recognized as a highly respected religious leader, the Venerable Pong Re Sung Rap Tulku Rinpoche. The documentary chronicles how he came to be recognized, his family and life at the monastery in New Zealand, then finally follows his journey to Sherab Ling Monastery in Northern India where he was enthroned and his official duties as a high Tibetan Lama begin.
