The Resistance Bookshops were set up by activists firstly in Auckland, then Wellington and Christchurch to raise political issues by selling radical texts and books usually hard to find in New Zealand. Resistance Bookshops supported the anti-establishment political movements and provided meeting places and printing presses for planning their campaigns from 1969 until the mid-1970s. Speakers not identified but key personnel were Dennis Cooney, Alan Robson and Ruebena Paraha.

This Day is a regional magazine programme which started in 1970 when AKTV2 rebranded as Northern Television. It took over from Town and Around.
