These two whare have sat side by side for 70 years, Whitireia is a carved wharenui in the Pine Taiapa style whilst Waho-te-Rangi is said to be a Ringatū whare with elaborate paintings depicting flowers, Kings and Queens. Colonial depictions aside this iconic marae acknowledges the home of Paikea. (Final) Ka tū taha mai ēnei whare mo ngā tau nui atu i te whitu tekau tau.
