These two whare have sat side by side for 70 years, Whitireia is a carved wharenui in the Pine Taiapa style whilst Waho-te-Rangi is said to be a Ringatū whare with elaborate paintings depicting flowers, Kings and Queens. Colonial depictions aside this iconic marae acknowledges the home of Paikea. (Final)
