1Which Works Works? A consultant reports that New Zealand has too many meat works and that many of those in existence are inefficient meat works. He recommends closing 40% of the works, and bring the rest up to scratch with 1980s technology. But what impact would this have on the communities that rely heavily on the meat industry, and the meat industry itself.
