Television New Zealand's hour-long weekly current affairs programme presenting mini-documentaries on topical local issues.

  • 1Into the World of Light The Te Maori exhibition has returned to New Zealand, having attracted more than a million visitors in its tour of the United States. The huge success of Te Maori has promoted interest in a $180 million plan for a new cultural centre in Wellington to house the art treasures in a way which more properly reflects New Zealand's bi-cultural society. Does this new impetus signal a change in the Government's commitment to protection of New Zealand's heritage?

Early childhood teachers say lower income parents are unable to afford the fees to provide their children with full time care while they are working. With an increasing number of parents needing childcare, a large network has developed - community-run centres, private centres, kindergartens and kohanga reo. However, many have long waiting lists and are priced out of the market for many parents.
