The final episode of Close Up, New Zealand's longest-running weekly current affairs programme.

Television New Zealand's hour-long weekly current affairs programme presenting mini-documentaries on topical local issues.

  • 1Last Bastion The Waitangi Tribunal has backed Ngati Whatua's claim for the return of Bastion Point to the iwi, citing "repeated and deliberate" breaches of the Treaty of Waitangi by the Crown. This will be a test case for the Tribunal - while it has made a landmark decision for the iwi, the Government must now choose whether to follow the Tribunal's recommendations, or ignore them, as it has done many times in the past. A look back at the Ngati Whatua land claim.

Racism also plays a part.
