1Complaints have been laid against the Knapp-Robison fundraising firm amid claims that it has been overcharging schools and charities through its Mystery Envelope initiative.
2Update on an item from three years ago in which Fair Go revealed the spectacular failure of Alcial Amonium Compounds (AACs) anti-rot treatment for timber which had been used in large-scale by big building companies. AAC timber is now banned, and the Government and timber companies have each paid 50% of a consumer compensation scheme worth $7 million. Two years on, the wood continues to rot but the $7 compensation fund has almost been depleted. A Kerikeri kiwifruit orchard is under threat as a result of rotting AAC timber and are being refused full compensation.
