  • 1The Government set up the New Zealand Film Fund with a one off 25 million dollar cash injection. The purpose was to attract overseas investment for larger budget movies. The fund helped movies like Whale Rider and River Queen get made, but now is almost dry. Some want the Government to top up the fund, the Government says it already has.
