  • 2Since 1982 the Kohanga Reo National Trust has worked to revive the Maori language and it has been extremely succesful. Questions are asked about a capital funding policy where the Trust has ben seen to benefit sometimes at a cost to individual kohanga. Despite changes to the policy in 2001, some kohnaga reo have been left to heartache, and now a question mark hangs over the future of the movement.
