K2 is steeper, tougher and riskier and draws both the daring and deluded to the Pakistan-China border each year. One particular expedition went up K2 with cameras rolling, hoping to capture personal glory, but what it captured instead was the most disastrous day in mountaineering. 2The Blues The blue whale are the largest animals our planet has ever known. The tongues baleen-ptera musculus weigh more than an elephant, their hearts are the size of a car and a child could crawl through the tunnels of their arteries. But still we know very little about the blue whale. One of the greatest blue whale colonies has been discovered off the coast of Sri Lanka and that's where marine biologist Asha de Vos is filling in the gaps.
