Christopher Luxon arrived in New Delhi overnight, where the government has officially launched talks on a free trade deal with India. Police are treating a fire at Hui Te Rangiora Marae in Hamilton early on Sunday morning as suspicious, believing it may have been deliberately lit. The interior of the meeting house, Tu Waerae, on Clarence Street, was severely damaged by the fire, while the exterior carvings were affected by soot but remain largely intact. The marae was built in the 1960s and officially opened in 1966 by the Maori Queen, Dame Te Atairangikaahu.
