(DRAMATIC MUSIC) ERIC: Tonight on "The Toy Box"... Playtime is over. ...seven toymakers return to compete in the finals to win the contract with Mattel to have their toy made and sold across America, available immediately following the finale. (EXHALES SHARPLY) This moment is huge. I can't think of another moment that's as big as this for me. A contract with the biggest toy company on the planet ` that's just surreal. ERIC: The finalists are so close to their dream... It could be a whole new life for my family. I'm super ready to see what happens next. It's now or never. ERIC: ...but the judges will have the final say. You have to play with all the toys one last time. -Is it fun? -No. Do you want this? It's been in my fingers. -Ohh! -Eeeeeh! I love it so much. I've never had this much power before. This is really serious. One of these inventors ` their life's gonna change forever. ERIC: First, each judge will eliminate a toy of their choice. It's my job to eliminate one of you. The toy that I have chosen to be eliminated is... ERIC: Then, together, they will decide the ultimate winner of "The Toy Box." Which toy gets a deal with Mattel? The Magic 8 Ball says... (DRAMATIC MUSIC) Welcome to "The Toy Box", where having fun is serious business. Ooh-whee! Able 2018 I can't believe we're here. It's the finals. There are seven toys on the line. One of these toymakers, their dream is gonna come true. They're gonna get a deal with Mattel, and their toy is gonna be available right after the show. This could change their life. I mean, this will change the life of the inventor. Yeah. Really` It really has the potential to do that. -It's amazing. -Yep. -People at home right now are watching the show. They're seeing these toys. They're gonna see what wins tonight. It's gonna be available. But first, before we get to any of that, I want to hear a little bit about this place ` the mentor room. What actually went down in this place? (LAUGHTER) Let's turn it up to the hot, hot, hottest. It's about to get cray-cray. # We are friends that are different. # -Whoo! -Whoa! -Candy time. Not my head! Wow! -Jim. -Whoo! -There we go! -Oh! Whoa. Uh, 6 and up. -Oops. -I'm so sorry. -How much did you spend? -$1 million... -Wow. -...and counting. What's it called again? The Cock-it Drop-it Rocket. -I-I don't` I can't even say it. -Totally agree. -Did you look at Whiffer Sniffers? -I did. It's gonna be tough to compete with just a few fruits. You read to them face-to-face. The only way you can do that was with an injection-moulded toy that's not gonna kill the kid. I can't make that! What are you gonna do? Put me through! When I first looked at the doll, I said, "No way." But listening to my heart and the size of the market, you're going to The Toy Box. Oh, great. So, the judges have a huge decision tonight. They've done a great job. I've been constantly impressed by their critical-thinking skills in The Toy Box and really thinking of things that, um, you know, I don't know that every kid out there would be thinking of. Have you done any research lately on the stuffed-animal market? Do these toys have all eight points of articulation? What inspired you to make this toy? What age group is this for? How do other kids respond to this toy? Can we eat you? How many faces can you make on these dolls? -Infinite. -So, I can make... -Have you made it to the sky yet? -Where does the sky really start? That is messed up. -I don't really understand, like, what you're meant to do. -Yeah. If you was going to make an advert for this toy, an advertisement, it would be fun if you had, like, a jingle or something. -Do you have one? -Good question again. How much money would I have to save to buy this toy? The price point's probably gonna be about $59.99 at retail. $59.99 every day! Every day, yes. ERIC: There are seven toys on the line. Tonight, after this long journey, the judges are gonna pick the winner. We're here. It's happening. So, the AryaBall, what'd you think of AryaBall? I really was impressed that the guy invented something that is such a` you know, a basic thing. It's sports, it's football, soccer, golf, and yet it doesn't exist in the market all in one. My name is Babak. I'm from San Diego. I truly feel I've reinvented the soccer ball. I have so much at stake here. I'm 45. My kids are gonna go to college in eight years, and I've kind of raided that college fund, and for me to have pulled out 50K to make a ball, you know, I'm all in on this. And I have to get to market soon to pay my kids back. You can push and twist, and inside, there's a surprise. -That's the football. -Wow. -So, there's a football in there. -That's cool. -That is cool. -Wow. -There's more. -There's more! You push and twist, and inside is a little baseball. -Huh. -No way. The baseball bat turns into a golf putter. -That's awesome. -Can I`? The AryaBall is great for a whole family. Everyone has a different sport they love. They can all play together, and you could pack it all into one, -and that was my favourite feature, that it was so compact. -ERIC: Yeah. I don't want to carry a giant tote bag of different balls. This is an entry level, you know, for 3 to 6 years old, and the price of AryaBall is far less than five balls. There is nothing like that in the sporting-goods category. I'm curious how the judges played with the AryaBall. -I'm open! -Nice catch. -Football! -Oh! AryaBall just had everything that you could imagine. I think it's great. It's just mind (IMITATES EXPLOSION) blown. -ERIC: Come on, Aalyrah. You can do it. -Wait. What about`? -Oh! All right. -Come on. -Whoo. -Bam! -Awesome. Go to first base. -Run. -ERIC: Okay. -Oh! -Hold on! -Nailed it. I don't have any say in what moves on or what is` goes or whatever. I have a` my own personal opinion, which brings us to Candy Krusher. I've been to thousands of candy trade shows, and I haven't seen this product, and yet I think this is fun for adults and kids. My name's Barry. I have a family of six kids. They toy that I've invented is the Candy Krusher. The Candy Krusher represents, to me, job security instead of living from pay cheque to pay cheque. AS ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER: You take the candy, and you crush it into shapes, and then you can eat it. NORMAL VOICE: Like magic, there it is. -And this is a whistle. (WHISTLE BLOWS) -Oh, wow! -Wow! Now, that's cool. In the toy industry, the food category has been really hot. -You're going to The Toy Box. -Wow. Whoo! AS ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER: Give me all the candy and put it in there and crush the candy! Yeah. You really like that Arnold Schwarzenegger. He sure does. Ready, set... (WHISTLE BLOWS) -Whoa. -Can I do it? -Yep. All right. Here we go. -Push it down. -That's easy. You get a sculpture that you can eat. -Do mine next. -(GASPS) Wow! And it's like` It's just, like, a great invention. AS ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER: We crushed it. NORMAL VOICE: I mean, is everybody tired of my Arnold voice by now? I have super-weird food anxieties, -and having sticky fingers and all that gross... -That's fun. -Have a wipe. -That's` Yeah, that's what makes it fun. Yeah, so, does it come with latex gloves and wipes? -It could. -And how's the toy during flu season? -Do we have to wear masks? -(DYLAN LAUGHS) What did the judges think of the Candy Krusher? Well, you know, Noah immediately was, you know, "This is the greatest thing ever!" (FUN MUSIC) This stuff is good. I really want to eat that dog. (GROWLS) Decapitation. Cool! Oh! Oh! # Got the candy, got the candy. # One. (LAUGHS) ERIC: We have some strong competitors tonight in the finals, but we have more winning toys that we still need to talk about. I'm excited. Coming up... -(GROWLS) -(LAUGHS) (SHOUTING) Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! Playtime is over. It's decision time. Each of you get to choose one toy to eliminate. This is going to be the hardest choice I've ever made in my life. 1 So, one of these toys tonight is gonna win, and then it's gonna be available right after the show. -Amazing. -It's awesome. That is amazing instant gratification. -Like one of your candy bars. Instant gratification. -(LAUGHS) Um, all right. What about Chromotag? -I'm Larry. -I'm his amazing son, Steven. We invented a toy called Chromotag. It's pretty awesome to only be 12 years old and already be this far with this invention. So, we have these special game cards, and you have a water fight, and when they get hit, they explode with colour. Who's got good aim? Let's see. -Blast me. -Ooh, sorry. -(LAUGHS) -You have terrible aim. I love how your mind works. Congratulations. You're going to The Toy Box. -Yay. -(LAUGHS) -Well, get in there. Get Noah. -Get in there. -Noah, get Steven. -(LAUGHING) It is four things I love. Well, five things. Laser tag, paintball, water guns, shields, different colours. I think this is one that, like, needs a lot of work, -in terms of execution. -Mm-hmm. But I do like the idea of water play and adding that target practice. And, you know, it would be really fun for a summertime game. See, I like Chromotag because kids like blasters, and now you get to play with water and you get to see who you hit. It's really very simple. What do you guys think of Wiggies? -I like Wiggies, too. -I like Wiggies a lot. # Ooh, ooh, ooh. # May name is Kim. I'm from Los Angeles. And my toy is Wiggies. Wiggies are dolls with interchangeable hair. So, she has holes in her head, so it's just as easy as snapping that in. I love the different ethnicities. -Yes. -Yes. I think there's endless play in terms of learning some different culture styles. -Exactly. -Yeah. -It should be more like a Barbie... -Jen: A little older. ...or more like a fashion-doll type of face. -I would say send you to The Toy Box. -Ahh! Yay! Jim: Congratulations. -Look what Aalyrah made. -(LAUGHS) KIM: That's amazing. My doll is just a colourful doll. -I love it. Rainbow. -Oh, my gosh. -I love that. Trying to create the bald-headed wonder. You make one of your Wiggie dolls look like Nicki Minaj. (SCREAMS, LAUGHS) I can't believe I made it through. -Yes! Yes! Thank you. -She's gonna have a heart attack. Ooh! I like that she had all different types of hair. -Yeah. -That was what was special. It was really fun for us. I had fun just, like, snapping it together. -Yeah. -Yeah. -And it was easy to use, too. All right. Let's move on to 3D Liquid Art. RYAN: My name is Ryan. I'm from Phoenix, Arizona. My toy is called 3D Liquid Art. It's a way to create three-dimensional images out of water. Since I was a young kid, inventing was my dream. My family is huge supporters, so to win this would show them that by never giving up, you can accomplish your dreams. -Financially, what are you in? -About 20 grand. -20 grand? -Whoa. That's crazy. -That's really beautiful. RYAN: It's a great introduction to colours for kids. -Mm-hmm. -That's cool. -Look at that. -Whoa! -(LAUGHS) Literally, this game is just amazing. NOAH: I've never seen anything cooler than that. RYAN: If I win tonight, it would mean the world to me. It would mean that for the past 20-some years of inventing that it was not a waste, and it'll show my kids that never giving up truly does pay off. When he showed us how the water reacted to the paper, that blew my mind. -Yeah. -I've never seen anything like that. It's just water and a tablet. -I think it's a revolutionary invention. -Yeah. Jim, destroy us. No, no, no. I went through my whole toy checklist on it. Number one, is it cool? Yeah, that's cool. Then, is it fun? Yes, it was fun. -How much does it cost? It's inexpensive. -Yeah. And then, the last one, think about what they can do with 3D Liquid Art. -Endless applications. -Yeah. So, it's not just a toy, it's where you can grow the toy. What did you guys think of My Ballerina Doll when you first saw it? My name is Tiffany, and I'm a professional ballet dancer. My name is Mark, and I am a retired ballet dancer. Our doll is called My Ballerina Dolls. We financially risked everything. The house is at stake. The studio's at stake. We have taken all of our savings. There's no turning back. -Oh, my. -Oh! -Wow! -The ballet's come to us. -Wow. -Yes. If we make it to the finals, all of our sleepless nights, eating rice and beans can change, and that would be nice. What's great about these dolls is they articulate into all the classic ballet positions. These dolls should dance themselves into The Toy Box. -My goodness! -(LAUGHS) First position. MARK: It's like holding a big beach ball. -Mm-hmm. -Fourth position. Do you know I love that they actually stand up. Now it looks like he's trying to sit on something. The one positive thing I liked about it was the nutcracker. -You could take its head off. -(LAUGHS) I liked the outfits, and it's, like, so flexible. The price is just, like... ugh! It's like 100 bucks for` I could go and find one for 10 bucks and just, like, do the same things with it. -No. Not at all. -Mnh-mnh. -ERIC: Tell` Does he know what he's talking about? -Not even, like` -Not even Barbies can do that. -I know what I'm talking about. I have two older sisters. I know what I'm talking about. So? You're not a girl yourself! I really would've liked to seen that expand into different forms of dance and different boys and girls. -JEN: Yeah. -It has so much potential. -ERIC: Mm-hmm. Just looking at it, it's a very beautiful piece. Like, I was really, really impressed by that being a finished product in all forms. -So, you're saying that maybe there would be a My Hip-Hop Dance Doll,... -Yeah. -...My Contemporary Dance Doll, My` -For sure. I'm immediately seeing a My White Guy Can't Dance Doll. -(LAUGHTER) -Just in real, like, awkward, like, positions. -Maybe you could learn with a doll. -Yeah. -Yeah. Jim, what'd you think of My Ballerina Doll? I looked at is as a doll that was widely articulated that we have not seen in doll play. Mm-hmm. What were your thoughts on` as a designer,... -Oh, yeah, yeah. -...as an artist, what'd you think of Lightbox Terrier? JEN: I loved it. My name is Melissa, and I'm an industrial designer. The name of my toy is Lightbox Terrier. It's a personal goal that I've had in my life to be able to put one of my designs out there and have it enjoyed by other people. The design is so nice, and it, like, adults would like it. You know, it's, like, kind of home decor at the same time. -You can draw on this. -Yes. -It's like a whiteboard. -It is a dry-erase dog. -How much is this? -Like $60 or something. -I have some concerns. JIM: It's a high price point for the toy industry. -(AALYRAH GASPS) -So you can draw an eyeball. -You can draw stars. -On the dog? -You can draw the whole dog. -Hey, guys, let's draw Eric. -Eric on the block. Lightbox Terrier` Noah was worried it would make his electrical bill $20,000. (LAUGHING) -Are you getting a sense for how tough my job is? -(LAUGHTER) -Have you ever seen anything like it? -No. I've seen light boxes, but I haven't seen a light box, like, that's toyetic and encourages, you know, art and creativity, and it's endless. The judges really didn't love the design of it. They didn't look at that and think "dog." Noah very astutely reminded people that it doesn't have to look like a real dog. It doesn't even look like a dog. It looks like a box. It looks more like a futuristic kind of dog. -Yeah, it` -Well, not the exact shape. Just look more like a dog. -Yeah. -NOAH: Hold on a second. Do any of these toys look re` like` like` like the real thing? -No. -Well, more than the dog. Does an American Girl doll look like a real person? No. Do those cars look real? No. Do those bikes look real? No. -It's a good point. -Should we move on? -Yeah. -Yes, we should move on. All right, guys, this has been great. It's been fun. I've learned a lot. But it's not up to you. It's up to the judges. They have a tough decision tonight. I just want to hear your final thoughts before we turn it over to the judges. Jen. I would say just, um, you know, whichever toy they had the most fun with... -Yeah. -...go with it. -I'm just glad I don't have to make that decision. -Yep. Jim? It's gonna be tough on them because one size doesn't fit all and there's a wide variety of toys. I think toys are subjective, and everyone has grown up with their favourite, and I think all the judges are gonna have their favourite. But may the best toy win. 1 (GIGGLES) (CHUCKLES) -Oh, my gosh, Eric. -Wow. -That door is very complicated. -(LAUGHS) Well, well, well, judges. We have made it to the finals. We have seen a lot of great toys. There are seven toys on the line ` Candy Krusher, 3D Liquid Art, My Ballerina Doll, AryaBall, Chromotag, Wiggies and Lightbox Terrier. -I can't believe it. -I know. This is crazy. I'm so excited. We have to decide someone's future, and we've got to be careful about it, because we have to pick the right winner. Tonight, you, the judges, have to select THE toy ` the toy that will win the whole contest and get a deal with Mattel to have it made, produced, and sold all across America. Being a toy judge... is hard. We're deciding if someone leaves happy or leaves sad, and that's really stressful. ERIC: Judges, one of these toys tonight is gonna win, and then it's gonna be available right after the show. -That's amazing. That's crazy. -That's amazing. -That is so crazy. -Oh, my God. -Well, guess what? You have to play with all the toys one last time. After that, you all each get to eliminate one toy. Gone, history, never to be seen in The Toy Box again. SOPHIA GRACE: Oh, gosh. Oh, gosh. Take this last moment with each of the toys very seriously, because it will be up to you which three toys make it to the finals. -(EXHALES Sharply) -The final finals. Let's get serious about having some fun. Get down there. First thing... -(Speaking indistinctly) -So, Toby, My Ballerina Doll. -Is it fun? -No. -Can you see why other kids might think it's fun? -No. -Really? -It's more for girls, and then, it's super hard to position when they stand up, and I don't think it's a toy kids would enjoy playing with. It's like an overgrown Barbie. I get ballet is what they do, but it's way too pricy. $100 for one of these? So, that means all these would be $400. -I don't want to state the obvious. -What? But the Wiggie doll has basically the same hair you have on right now. -I know. -Did you do that on purpose? -Yes. -I think you like Wiggie doll. -Yes. I like that you can style the hair, and you don't have to have one boring hairstyle. -I'm gonna continue playing. -Excuuuuuuuse me. Okaaaaaaay. ERIC: Oh, hello, Noah. Tell me something you like about 3D Liquid Art. What I like about it is, you can make all weird designs. -ERIC: And ho` Oh, look at that! -NOAH: Oh, come on. What I don't like about it is that it can still mix colours. Yeah. Talk to you later. -Okay. -See you later. Take care. -Okay. -See you, then. Bye. Hey, Eric, do you want this? It's been in my fingers. -Ohh, my. -(SOPHIA GRACE GIGGLES) -No, thank you. -Make your hands really sticky. Okay, so walk me through this. I don't get Candy Krusher. -Tell me as a` Pitch this toy to me so you can help me understand what you like about it. It's a good toy for special occasions. Like, I was thinking, maybe if it's Valentine's Day, you could get these red candies, and obviously, maybe he could make a heart mould, and then you could have little hearts all over the table. But don't we want a toy we can play with every day? When you do play with it, it's really fun. -Okay, I hear you. Tell me something that you're concerned about with it. -I don't really like the colours. -I mean, they're a bit boring. It's just yellow and blue. -Yeah. But I think if he got the contract with Mattel, then they would help him. All right. Gang, we're gonna play with some AryaBall. -Up against the Barbie wall. -Yay! Let's go. -Yeah! -ERIC: Let's check out AryaBall. -TOBY: Let's go. (GROWLS) -(GROWLS) -Aaaah! TOBY: Wait. Open it. Open that. Where's the little baseball? -It's inside. -ERIC: It's inside there. -(LAUGHS) -Give me the football. Batter up! Whaa! Sorry. You go down there, and I'll throw it to you. SOPHIA GRACE: Spectacular. Beautiful. I think that the AryaBall with just all those things ` it was really cool. Yeah! Throw it down here. (GROWLS) -(SQUEALS) -Gotcha! TOBY: Where did it go? Whoa. All I can see is toys flying around. I don't like AryaBall. It's not very impressive. I mean, literally, it's just you sawing apart a bunch of different balls. ERIC: Sophia Grace, here we are on Lightbox Terrier. I just don't really see, like, what the big deal is. Like, when I was first playing with it, I was waiting for the inventor to say to me, "Oh, and you can also do this," or, "And, by the way, it does this, too." But I was just, like, colouring, and, really, I think it's just an advanced colouring book. Mm-hmm. (IMITATES POUNDING) -So, do you love My Ballerina Doll? -No. -Of every` Really? Why not? Because I just don't think that me and my friends would want to sit here and play with ballerina dolls. Gotcha. (VOCALISING) I'm not a ballerina dancer. I quit. Wait. You just quit the ballerina profession? I'm a hip-hop dancer. (VOCALIZING) -Blah! -ERIC: Hey, so, Noah, check this out. -What? -She made you hair like yours. I can't... Look. You seeing the resemblance yet? -Yeah. -This is the brand-new Noah. (LAUGHS) Right now, you're playing with a doll. How does that feel? -We've having fun with this guy, right? -No. All right. You keep playing. ERIC: All right. Switch toys! (SQUEALS) Yes, yes, yes! (SQUEALS) SOPHIA GRACE: (GASPS) This is just so cool! (LAUGHS) Mind-blowing. When I first saw this toy, I was like... I was just, "Wow!" Like, I was mind-blown, because I've never seen anything like it before. -Yeah. -It's so great. -Okay. Wow. -I'm obsessed with it. I love it so much. Okay, you guys can switch it up whenever you want. -(GASPS) -Thank you. -I guess I'll switch. -What do you think of Candy Krusher? -Amazing. Guess this is me. (CHUCKLES) SOPHIA GRACE: I really like Wiggies, but Mattel already own two best-selling dolls like Barbie and American Girl doll, and Wiggies, it's not gonna sell very well, because not everyone is interested in hair. I am gonna do a flower. NOAH: The Lightbox Terrier was great because you could write whatever you want, and you could do all sorts of crazy designs. And plus, you can use it as a night light. Gang, let's move into Chromotag. -I want to get them. -Yeah, let's get them. (SQUEALING, LAUGHING) I love Chromotag. I think it's a great toy. I think it's really fun because it's so simple, but if you use your imagination, you can make it even more fun. Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha. -Somebody! -(SCREAMS) (LAUGHS) I'm not so sure about Chromotag. I don't see kids going, "Oh, come play Chromotag at my house." Oh, boy. (SUSPENSEFUL MUSIC) Okay, judges, playtime is over. Coming up on "The Toy Box"... It's decision time. I've never had this much power before. All of your toys are amazing, but only one of you can win the contract with Mattel. 1 Judges, playtime is over. It's decision time. We have to eliminate four toys. Each of you get to choose one toy to eliminate. This is going to be the hardest choice I've ever made in my life. So, it is a huge decision resting on your shoulders. SOPHIA GRACE: This is really serious and important. Like, one of these inventors ` their life's gonna change forever from today. We are here. We're at the end. We are to the point where we are gonna make one toymaker's dream come true. I've never had this much power before. It's gonna be really hard, because all seven of these toys have so much potential. Their fate is in my hands. Their fate is in OUR hands. It's right here in these palms! ERIC: I know it's been a tough process. Are you ready for me to bring in the toymakers? -Yep. -Yeah. Toymakers, please come into The Toy Box. WHISPERS: Oh, gosh. I feel bad. Hello, everybody. I know you're all nervous. Um, I can tell you that it has been a brutal,... brutal decision for the kids. But only one of you will eventually get a deal with Mattel to have your toy sold all across America. So, I got to ask you how you're feeling. It's probably a lot of nerves. A lot of things are going through your head. Steven, Larry, tell me, what's going on? I'm proud that I've made it this far, but I'm terrified what lies ahead. Yeah. Winning this competition would be amazing and life-changing for both of us. Seeing it on the store shelves, being able to say, "We did this together," right? Inventors of Chromotag ` that's just surreal. -Ryan? -I'm doing all right. I'm just focusing on holding my board. This is it. I mean, I've been self-employed for 20 years. I sold my company. I'm jobless. This is what I want my career to be. So, if this doesn't work out, I don't know what I'm gonna do. -Kim, it seems like you might have to go potty. -(LAUGHS) The suspense is killing me. I'm so nervous. I've invested a lot, and I really hope it pays off. -Melissa? -MELISSA: I'm doing good. I'm just enjoying the moment, cos it goes quick, and just thankful to be here. My family has always believed in me. My family has been extremely supportive, and especially my mom. My mom got diagnosed with cancer. (CHUCKLES Lightly) And, uh, she's doing great. But... I think this would bring them a smile. -Tiffany, Mark? -We simply just feel honoured. There's no other words. -It's now or never. -And we're ready. -Babak? -I'm just so excited to hopefully share AryaBall with the world. I'm one step closer to my dream as an inventor ` going to a park and seeing kids play with something I created. -Barry? -Excited to be here. A lot of anticipation, a lot of nervousness. This moment is really big. With six kids, it could mean a lot. It could be a whole new life for my family. I don't know if there's any other better opportunity out there, so... Tonight, each judge... will eliminate one toy. Okay, judges, are you ready? -(SIGHS) -Yes. -Yeah. -Yes. I think that there shouldn't even be a final. -I understand. Noah is a fan of all of you. -(MELISSA CHUCKLES) -Thank you, Noah. -Thanks, Noah. Awesome, dude. Before we can get to one winner, we have to eliminate four of you. I'm gonna turn it over to Toby. All of your toys are amazing. Now, I don't want to be the bad guy here, but it's my job to eliminate one of you. The toy I am eliminating... (SUSPENSEFUL Music) ...is Chromotag. -Thank you. -Thank you. Unfortunately, we didn't win tonight, but I couldn't be prouder of Steven and the effort he put into it. Just working together as a team has been inspirational to me, and the sky's the limit. -ERIC: Aalyrah? -All of your toys were amazing, unique and special. The toy that I am eliminating is... (SUSPENSEFUL MUSIC) ...My Ballerina Doll. ERIC: My Ballerina Doll, I'm sorry. It was a very hard decision. -Thank you. -Thank you. Thank you all. This particular decision might just slow the dream down a little bit, but I don't feel that it stops it. -Sophia Grace? -Each and every one of your toys were amazing. However, the toy that I have chosen to be eliminated is... ...Wiggies. I'm very sorry. Kim, I'm sorry. KIM: Tomorrow will be a new day. I feel encouraged by all of the positive feedback that I got from industry experts, and I'm not gonna let it die. -Noah? -I'm sorry to say this, but the toy that I am about to eliminate is... ...AryaBall. BABAK: It's taken me three years to get to this point. I'm gonna make AryaBall. Nothing has changed today, other than I'm not able to take the fast path. Congratulations, everyone, for making it as far as you have. Again, I can't tell you what a debate there was between our judges on who to eliminate and who to keep, but they each had their own opinions, and they each had their own reasons for why. -Thank you guys very much. -Thank you. -Thanks. Congratulations, everyone. Barry, Ryan, Melissa, you've made it. Please exit The Toy Box. We'll see you back here in just a moment for the judges' final decision. Thank you very much. Okay, judges, this is our final deliberation. We have to decide between the three of these toys which toy is the winner, which toy gets a deal with Mattel to have their toy made and sold all across America, available right after the show. We're gonna start with 3D Liquid Art. -I love everything. It's something I've never seen before. I just` I think it's so interesting, and if it wins the show, I'm buying it. Is 3D Liquid Art fun? It's fun. It's good for kids to play with. It's really cool, and when you shine a light, it turns into, like, this kind of gel. Toby, are you worried about the mess with 3D Liquid Art? No! Kids want to have a mess! -The moms can clean it up. -I know. Who cares? -Who cares? -Parents can do that job for us. -And it's just an amazing toy. -I love it. -I know. It's great. You can't save what you did. You have to throw it away. -You have to dump it out in the sink. -Take a picture! -Take a picture of it. Yeah. -That's what Sophia Grace earlier said. -You could freeze it and you have it. - Hello. -How cool of an idea is that? -I know. That's genius. -My genius idea. -Yeah, I know. Okay, let's move on to Lightbox Terrier. Toby, go ahead. Speed round. Is it a toy? Half toy, half artistic learning. -Yeah. -Aalyrah? Is it fun? -Yes. -Noah? Yes. You can draw stuff on it. Thank you, Noah. Sophia Grace? It looks, like, futuristic and unique. I've never seen anything like it. I think it's great, because she leaves it white so you can make your own dog. The slogan should be, "A pet without pooping or peeing in the house." -(LAUGHS) -Yeah. I think it's very cool. It's a great toy. Okay, let's move on to Candy Krusher. Noah? Really amazing. I mean, something that you can make little moulds with candy. It's nothing like I've ever seen. I've never seen anything like it. If you had, like, moulds from different artistic things, you know, how, like, in those big art packs they come, that'd be cool if you wanted to do something else. You can use it for lots of different things. You can use it for birthday parties. You can use it for, like, different occasions. Like, for Valentine's Day, you can use it, like, to make tiny hearts and things. Okay, guys, we got to wrap this up. Judges, one of these toymakers is gonna win a deal with Mattel to have their toy made and sold all across America. So, it is a huge decision resting on your shoulders. It's decision time. So, before we bring in the toymakers and announce the winner, I have a special surprise for you. We love surprises. Please welcome the President of Mattel, your friend Richard Dickson. Richard, come on in. -SOPHIA GRACE: Wow. -Hey, Richard! -Yeah! -ERIC: Richard, good to see you. -RICHARD: It's good to see you. -Hey, Rich. I got to tell you, Richard, these guys and girls have done an amazing job for you. They have taken their role as judges so seriously. You should be proud of every single one of them. -Here they are. -I am. You guys have done absolutely fantastic work. We at Mattel are so proud of the work that you've done, and I cannot wait to hear which toy you chose and which toy is gonna be the latest and greatest craze out there in all of America. Should we bring in the toymakers and announce the winner? -Yes, we should! -Yeah! Toymakers! To get a deal with Mattel would be incredible, amazing. I mean, this would mean a lot. Congratulations. I don't have to say it again. RYAN: This day is probably the biggest day of my life. I need that contract to be truly the success that I want to show my family that I can be. You've made it this far, but only one of you is gonna get that deal with Mattel to have your toy made and sold right after the show. I am who I am because of my parents. I would like to win this competition to just say thank you and make them proud. I want to introduce you to somebody that one of you is gonna get to know very well ` the President of Mattel, Richard Dickson. Congratulations for making it this far. -Thank you. -Thank you. We know how hard it is. We know how hard you've worked. And I know our judges have been painfully deliberating and going through lots of trials and tribulations to get to this point. But you're all really winners in Mattel's eyes, so thank you. -Thank you. -Thank you very much. -Thank you. Phew! I'm not gonna ask you how you're feeling. I'm not gonna put you through it, because I know what's going on inside your brains, inside your minds, inside your hearts. So, I'm just gonna turn it over to Sophia Grace. (SIGHS) Okay, everyone, this has been the most fun journey of my life, just getting to see new and amazing toys every single day. And you three were the best, because you're standing here right now in the final. (SIGHS) I've just had so much fun, and all of your toys are equally amazing. But this is the hardest part of my job, which is to say that only one of you can win the contract with Mattel. 3D Liquid Art,... ...will you be the winner? The Magic 8 Ball says... (SIGHS) ...yes, definitely. -(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE) -SOPHIA GRACE: Congratulations! Congratulations, Ryan. Barry, Melissa, thank you very much. Oh, my God. -Thank you so much. -Thank you. -Ryan,how do you feel? -(LAUGHS) This is amazing. This is a dream come true. Since I was 15 years old, this is what I've wanted to do. You and 3D Liquid Art have a deal with Mattel. Whoo! I just won a contract... with Mattel, the largest toy manufacturer in the world. I am officially an inventor, and this is what I'm gonna do for the rest of my life.
