Millie Knight skied first. Millie Knight of Great Britain with her guide. They are communicating via microphones and headsets. You will notice the fact the time on the bottom right of the screen. All the athletes are classified. Into the sharp left-hander. It is all about the speed. Over the line. This is Men and Jen. They had a great World Cup final in Canada. Just outside of Millie Knight. You have got to get past these 2 to win a medal. They are in tremendous form. Can the make it to from two? They are not used to being anywhere other than first. It is an absolute beauty. She takes the title. Double trouble for Great Britain because they get bronze as well is silver. The program continues in the mountains. The standing category. Marie Bouchet is quite simply the Queen of this discipline. 14 goals at the world championship no less. As recently as October 2016, she fractured her fibula. She was back in the saddle. She really is the competitor to beat here. We could be seeing a winning athlete here. Nothing wrong with the coordination. Here we take a look at that factor time. Running a little bit behind real-time, if you will. Silver on the downhill. Phenomenal run of success. She is giving her all here. Down into the stadium portion of the course. It could be enough for a medal. .27 by Marie Bouchet. Marie Bouchet has been way too good. Alana Ramsay takes the place. The next event here is the woman super G sitting event. It is a big old tough challenge In the women sitting division these days. She has the task of setting the first time. This is a lady that somebody will not accept A second DNF. Golden the super G in 2010. Had to settle for silver in 2014. It was because Anna Schaffelhuber one pretty much everything. Two silvers in Sochi, it was not good enough by her own admissions. It is a slender lead. It is a lead nonetheless. Anna Schaffelhuber is retiring at the end of these games so she says. Just 25 years old. These are her third games. Anna Schaffelhuber is flying again. You see the outriggers on either hand. Many skis. There is a foot switch the name was them to use them. The mono ski as it is called. Here is a lady who knows how to manoeuvre that mono ski better than anyone else. Anna Schaffelhuber is into the final gate. She has destroyed it. She moves into top spot. She takes out her own compatriot. Anna Schaffelhuber takes it from Claudia Loesch. The men super G on day two would serve up some exciting finishes. First up,The visually impaired skiers took to the 35 gate course. He was a silver medallist in Sochi. Fabulous. For how long will that lead be protected? We are looking here at Mack. He has gone wide. Oh, wow. That is a shocker. Look at him going wide. Oh, and the balance was not quite the. That is left the field wide open. This is a really good run here. .80 inside the time. Halfway through this startling order we could be looking at a competition leader. Just over half a second. Silver in the downhill. As the upgrading to a gold here? Down into the stadium circuit. He has missed it but not by much. Great racing by the Slovakians. The podium split by Giacomo Bertagnolli. Kickstart the coverage with Arthur Bauchet. He is 17 years old. Again, sliding. We have not had any snow here in PyeongChang For it must be three days. The glorious sunshine of the last few days will only have gone to not help the course. He is the only man to stop Arthur Bauchet on day one. Into the bottom section. Oh, he slides down. He somehow manages to maintain his footwork. He was virtually horizontal on the ski. Oh, he is down again. How much time as this cost him? He is giving everything. It is still good enough. How quick would he have gone without those two mistakes? Theo Gmur leads. Into the final quarter of the course. The spectators at the bottom can now see him. He drops into the left. And pushes on towards the finish line. It is third. The top three from yesterday and day one of the top three again. He first fell in love with skiing in a famous Winters resort In France. He has been competing for 15 years. Andrew Kurka. He had ambitions to compete at an Olympic Games in Roman wrestling. Before his accident. He will be a little bit off the pace here. As you make such uplift and turn and drop down. Picking up a bit of speed at the end. Great recovery. He moves into the lead. Fabulous. Kurt Oatway of Canada. Really good strong run. Another who was inspired to get competing by watching The Olympic Winter games on television When they were hosted by his nation In 2010. So far, he says is highlights have been competing at Sochi. He is going really really well. He is made up by over a second. He screams into the lead for Canada. Brilliant run. Kurt Oatway is a Paralympic champion. It is a silver medal for Andrew Kurka. To do with his gold medal in the downhill on day one. A brilliant bronze for Frederic Francois. Still to come and this highlights the first gold medals won in cross-country skiing. We are also at the curling centre. Germany was striving to build on a strong start. (music plays) (music continues) A goalscoring record has already been set at these Paralympic games. On day one Canada's ice hockey team overwhelms their opponents, Sweden. They scored 17 times without reply, the biggest winning margin since the sport was introduced to the Paralympics 24 ago On day one at the curling centre Sweden took on the People's Republic of China. Solid play from the Chinese and a mistake by the Swedish Meant that China were gifted by three points Giving them a significant early lead. The very experienced Chinese skip Scored four points and extended their lead further. Sweden clawed back two points in the final, but China would leave the ice victorious. Both sides traded low scores all the way through. This put the Koreans ahead. By the eighth end the pressure was back on the hosts. They needed to score a single to take the match to an extra end. So into 1/9 they went. The Neutral Paralympic Athletes had the hammer. The home side could rejoice in their first victory of these games. Finland have a married couple in their ranks. The skip and the fourth player. They were up against Slovakia. They wanted to put this sixth place finish in Sochi behind them. Slovakia capitalised on some errors To be ahead at the halfway stage. Thanks to solid shotmaking It was on the sixth end when Slovakia had an easy draw They now led by six points to 3. Finland had to score highly in the last end to be in with a chance. It wasn't enough and Slovakia recorded their first win of these games. The reigning world champions, Norway, Had one of the most experienced squads And were up against one of the most successful Paralympic curling nations, Canada. Canada wasted no time taking advantage of the last stone. Canada took two points in the second end. It was all over on the sixth. The precision angle wasn't there And Canada took four points. There was no way back from Norway. Two countries made their first appearance at a Paralympic Winter games in the men's 15 km sitting cross country skiing. Georgia and the Democratic People's of Korea. What a distinction for these two men to be the 1st to represent their country at a Paralympic Winter games. Also with that honour is this man for Georgia. The Republic of Korea's a flag bearer at the opening ceremony. Silver medallist at this event previously. Zheng Peng of China was the early leader. The question is whether he can maintain this amazing pace. An 86% factoring applied to his time. Zheng's nearest challenger was 28 years of age from Ukraine, Maksym Yarovyi. It is so much work for these sit-skiErs. Zheng holding on at this point. Meanwhile, Daniel Cnossen was powering through the field. Cnossen making a move, Leaning into the curve. Now Sin will be feeling the importance of the occasion. This is good news for the hosts. The Republic of Korea across the history of the Paralympic games has only 12 medals. CORRECTION: 2 medals. It would be great if Sin could dig in this race. Zheng looks like the fatigue it kicked in. He went too hard toO early. The medal positions were now between Cnossen, Sin and Maksym Yarovyi. Cnossen, a second gold medal. 7 km biathlon already in his pocket. The crowd in the stadium wants to know all about this man. Looking for the Republic of Korea's third Paralympic Winter medal. Oksana Masters, Silver medallist in Sochi in this event. Is it today she gains the elusive Paralympic gold? The only way to know who was leading was to look at the clock. You shouldn't read too much into these early times. The race between Andrea Eskau and Masters was tight. Here is Masters. She comes through, eclipsing Gretch's time. Germany is ahead of USA. When all of the skiers had reached the halfway point, Andrea Eskau was in the lead. But there was 3.4 seconds between the top three. Here comes Andrea Eskau. A couple of seconds down now on Gretch. Gretch went on to extend that advantage over the final lap. Kendall Gretsch, that is such a tricky downhill right hand turn. She has kept herself away from trouble, here comes Kendall Gretsch. Look at this for Korea. Oh! What is that? Unbelievable from the Koreans. These Korean hockey players continue To just go one louder. What a position. That might have been it. Where and why? Is what the Koreans will be asking. How in this ice rink did that come to pass? We have over time hockey coming up. We have had a real classic. This needs to be sharp. It was time to take advantage of it here. One to buckle my shoe. Back door, they've got more. Can you believe it? It happened. That quick. That sweet. It was poetry in motion from Korea. They are that good. They will take the spoils and overtime. It is a full-time and overtime result for the host nation. Germany came into this match confident.
