Moments later NPA conceded. Final score ` China through to the semifinals. Sweden lost their first five matches in this round robin But have won their last three. They are finding their form. Could they troubled Korea? Just before the break, Korea got a 3-1 lead. Sweden needed to stay in touch, In this long-range take-out Did just that. It was now 3-2 to Korea. It grew into a great tactical encounter. The Koreans blocked the sixthed end. Jaegoan added another point. (CHEERING, APPLAUSE) In the last end, with two required from Sweden, The Koreans made no mistakes. They forced the Swedes to concede. 4-2 to Korea, Sweden had no chance of a semi-final. Slovakia took on Canada. The reigning Paralympic champions and second in the standings looking good for a play-off spot After winning six games. While Slovakia had a frustrating competition with just three wins, The second end, Canada moved into a five point lead placing a third stone in the house. They did little to trouble the Canadians. By the fifth, it was 7-0. Slovakia with the take-out. Momentum was with Slovakia. This extraordinary stone help them close the gap. In the eighth, Slovakia could not capitalise on the offensive, Giving two more points. (CHEERING) Norway have produced a mixed bag of results so far, But a convincing win over Korea suggested some high-quality. They faced a struggling finish ranked with only two wins. Lawrenson made the most of the hammer And threaded his final stone through the gap with great accuracy.. For a lovely take-out and two points for Norway. The pressure continued in the second end. With two Norwegian stone sitting, She misjudged her take-out. Suddenly it was four-0. Finland pulled back two points. Peterson stretched the Norwegian lead. Going into the final end, Finland added two more. After the penultimate stone, It was clear there was no chance for Finland. They sure hands, and Norway celebrated 6-4. The second classification match sort Norway take on Japan. There was also the oldest athlete at this games at 61. Here is Patterson. A chance to shoot. Didn't quite go at the angle. It didn't quite get there. Petterson again. The conduit for the offence in many ways for Norway. It sets the table and has the puck run for him. A good shot and a goal. How about that for Norway? He puts a dart in the top left corner. Norway take the lead. I don't know if Fukushima knew much about that. One thing they do is track the players on the ice. It is interesting to see how much puck time a player has. It is much smaller as a player might think. This is five seconds of good possession. There is a strike as they find themselves a second goal. It was continuous possession, Punctuated with a flurry of power. Norway enjoying proceeding so far. Fukushima would like to close his eyes. He comes across. This is for Norway. Smartly taken. Japan break things up. They will go here. Takahashi. shot down low Tic, tac, toe! He puts in the first one for Japan. He is pumped up! Those wheels are rolling. He will go on a breakaway, then Pedersen comes back. Tic, tac and here comes toe. So now, as we said, the worst lead in hockey. You are only just one shot away. What about that? We have goals coming from curious places From behind the goal. Finds a way to perfectly open up the Japanese keeper. Norway. This is being delivered along across the offensive blue line. Pedersen will shoot. It is so precise and fine. It will make you lose your mind. This is signature stuff from the nine time Paralympian. Bing! Sent in by Norway. Gotta chase this into the corner. First ones on the scene. Can they do anything with the evidence? Look at this from Norway! They are too good. They are putting together passes and scoring goals Like they are doing it for fun. It is not too much fun for Fukushima. (CHEERING) Here they are. Look at the Norwegians as Pedersen got his hat-trick. They are indicating from the bench, 'throw your hats!' Fukushima is beaten. Full time. A very commanding performance. They got things going, the Norwegians. On day six, the last day of the round robin wheelchair curling, There was still everything to play for for many countries. Great Britain were one of three countries in fourth place, while Korea was in third. After Britain went one ahead in the first end, Korea reacted well in second. He placed the stone in the middle of the house. (CHEERING, APPLAUSE) They had back in the fourth end, plate placing a second stone and making sure there were two points for Great Britain. With six stones remaining, Hugh placed a stone right in the centre of the house. It was a position that Korea could not recover, And it led to a one-point steal and two-point lead. Korea gradually worked their way back. There was a crucial shot at the end of the seven that produced a good stone. Her rock stops just short, And Korea took a point. It was square going into the final end. This was a match that went down to the wire. With two stones remaining and one Korean stone counting, Jaegoan placed a stone in a crowded zone. Everything depended on Nielson's hammer. All or nothing for Great Britain. It was an ambitious take-out attempt. She narrowly missed the stone. Joint for Korea and the home ground. With seven victories, Canada were in great position going into the final day of the round robin. Germany still had hopes of getting to the semifinals, But they needed to win against a strong Canada team. In the third, Canada made the most of this error. Skip placed his final stone to put them three-1 up. (CHEERING) The two point difference remain the same in sixth. Ideson knocks out Germany's 2nd to last known. CORRECTION: stone. Putzich was able to knock out both of Canada's. (CHEERING, APPLAUSE) Germany feared the worst. Canada's final shot left the house looking very crowded with red stones. Putzich managed to limit the damage. Going into the eighth, Germany would need a massive turnaround to stop the reigning champions progressing. The task proved too big. His shot went wayward and Germany conceded. USA were definitely out of the running for semi-final qualification. Fourth place Norway had genuine hopes. The two sides traded blows in the second end. Lawrenson successfully took the American stone and left His in the middle of the house. With one stone counting, He took out the American stone. In the fourth end, it was the Norwegians that had the hammer. With one stone already counting, Lorentsen collected two points. It was 3-2. The USA pulled ahead in the sixth. With one stone already counting, They had no problem collecting two more points and levelling the scores. It couldn't have been tighter going into the final end. With three stones remaining at was still in the balance. By the end of the match, it was still between these two stones and the measure was brought out. They confirmed Norway had won the match by the narrowest of margins, A great result for Norway. With six wins and one match to come, Norway were looking to qualify for the semis. With two victories on day five, Switzerland had given themselves a fighting chance of qualification. They were up against the NPA, who were just behind them. The NPA took the early advantage. The skip with an excellent final stone to make it 2-0. Switzerland pulled it back in the fourth end. He pulled off an impressive shot. The scores are judged to be two points to the Swiss, Making it 3 all. The NPA quickly took the lead And were able to pull forth with this shot from the skip. Switzerland made interesting and the seventh, Picking the arrivals back to 4-5. In the final end, NPA listed the house with yellow stones. Wagner could do nothing to prevent the eventual scoreline of 6-4. The result meant both nations could still reach the semifinals. (CHEERING) good morning. Hello! In ice hockey, the first of the semifinals saw world champions Canada an action against Korea. At the Gangneung Hockey Centre, the hosts were cheered on by an enthusiastic crowd, hoping the Koreans could score a surprise against the Canadians. Canada have been ruthless so far in this tournament, and they will be looking to be party poopers quite simply, against the Koreans. The Koreans have the wind in their sails, and can they use that as a token of momentum? Canada against the Republic of Korea. We are underway. Korea getting the first face-off under their belt. People still continue to take their seats. The two 14s going toe to toe. Canada trying to get the game into flow, and already Korea are getting them under pressure. It is important for Korea to be a physical. And now McGregor with the first opportunity. It is a big save from the goaltender, who will feel very good after that one. The first moment where he has been called upon. Miraculously saved. Second time in this first period for McGregor. This is incredible for the Koreans to deny the Canadians in this opening three minutes. Delaney. Waiting for the options. Right glove save there from Lee Jae Hwang. But for how much longer will he answer the questions posed to him? Eventually on the defensive once again, Korea trying to put it into the neutral zone. Surely he scores. Eventually Canada have got a breakthrough, which they deserve. The 19-year-old gets his sixth of the tournament. Liam Hickey, is this an opening goal when Korea were shutting the Canadians down. There was just in the centre and killed by the Canadians. Here they come on the counter charge. The latter has done very well to pull him out wide. We've only had the one goal. Did he get a touch? It doesn't matter, because Canada are two goals ahead. And just like that, they turn the screw. It is Canada two, Korea nil. When you have players in the front. That is the touch by the defendant front of Westlake, and there is no chance there. Will that benefit Canada here? That park is causing all sorts of problems for Korea. Westlake now. Just in front of Dixon, who are penetrating and in search of a third. Into the net, and Westlake has managed to get the Canadian third, just before the intermission. How crucial a goal. Great commitment from the captain. To set on the back door and not say no. He did not quit on the play. We will see whether it goes to review. I think he whacks it a second and third time. He won't be credited for being polite. The second he shoves it through. Westlake got that position. He has the follow-through and the tenacity to stay with it. He gets the reward of A third Canadian goal. The park has been moving around Canadian ranks so quickly, it is hard to get to grips with everybody so far. Korea are finding this an issue as well. They have certainly matched that. Put up a fight back in the second period. We will be indicating as to whether they are running out of gas or whether the Canadians can apply some more pressure. Again Canada are taking no prisoners, and they want to bank as many goals they can get. This has been diminutive from Canada, vociferous as well. Canada have half a step into the finals surely now. Four nil. The Canadian RPMs have been revving all tournament. They have got it In drive. The Koreans can simply not keep up as the overpowering chassis from the Canadians is taking this ride on the motorway. Canada never need an invitation for a goal, but this powerplay will be just that. Whatever happens, Korea will still have a chance of a middle. He is McGregor. He was well checked. 90 seconds left. It is an important clearance for Korea, Billy Bridges will get the goal. That is Canada's fifth. Billy Bridges' second. You don't have to be a lip reader to understand what Billy Bridges just says our fees because this goal. He fires at low and hard. It burns the top of the ice. Westlake has it now curving around. Perfect chance for Dixon. As he tries to drifted back on to the left. Armstrong immediately with the reflexes like a cat. Dom Cozzolino can't find a gap, but recycles things and tricky circumstances. Conjuring up the feed for Westlake. He still finds McGregor. That was tenacious as it was brilliant. There was probably the best goal of the lot. We talked about a disjointed third.. Well they have turned that around in one play. That is a signature Canadian goal. It is their management of the puck that is simply perfect. Korea are still well within Canada territory. Canada have a lot of flair when they are on the puck. Whether they have been in their own zone or the offensive zone. This is the opportunity. Big moment for Korea. It is saved. He had a big save to make. He would have heard the cheers around him and Felt the shivers down his spine. That is an intentional play, making it look like he is catching butterflies. Armstrong, superb on the recovery. He looks to supply the goods for McGregor. He does not take no for an answer. Batted it in despite being seemingly thwarted on the first occasion. Canada have a sensational seventh. It does not get much better than this. You come in, receive the service and get knocked down. Falling to exhaustion, you get up one more time with your core strength and elevate it into the goal. The final few seconds. This Korea side is somewhat special. They have come against the Canada side who will battle it out on the final day. The world champions are here, and they are wanting their first golden since 2006. And something they have been doing in these matches as throwing the Bandabi mascots into the crowd. They are letting everybody know that they are most welcome to Love their ice hockey like they do and to share in the fun and the delight that is paralytic sport. (ALL SHOUT HAPPILY) For the NPA, There was a slim reality they would get to the semifinals. Going into the third end, NPA held a 1 point lead the Swedish skip got the advantage, though. In end four, both team's stones laid around the edge of the house. Their final stone took out NPA. He then had a chance to put his stone in the centre. The measurement secured 1/3 to have Sweden go into the lead. In the following end, They faced a crowded house. They managed to find a way into the centre of the house. (CHEERING) Romanov could only aid them further. Sweden extended their lead to 7-1. NPA cut the deficit in the sixth and seventh. It wasn't enough as they conceded in the final end. Sweden took the game 7-3, Ending the NPA's prospects. (CHEERING) I could not have been simpler for Norway in the afternoon session of day five. The victory for surveyor gear would guarantee a semi final place. They were in a confident mood after narrowly overcoming the USA. It was Slovakia who made the stronger start. He added another to the house first team. Slovakia took the lead in the second end. Norway had been less than consistent in the round robin, And it looks like this would be one of the off matches. He added a third stone to the house for their side. Norway managed to get some hope for the victory they wanted in the seventh. Lorentsen threw his final rock. The Norwegians took one point from the end. Norway needed two points to force the match to an extra. He added A third Norwegian stone to the house. Slovakia could only take one of those, So the match went to the extra end. It was quite simple for Norway ` When this and they qualify for the semifinals. With three stones left in the match, Pitonak curled a great shot into the house. The pressure on full tilt, Norway's skip made his best effort. But Norway were vulnerable. Pitonak had the hammer. Everything rested on his final stone. His shot sailed past the house And Norway lookedto have won the match. That was certified by the measurer, And Norway's place in this in my final was confirmed. It was a memorable comeback from Norway. Both China and the Republic of Korea had already qualified for the semifinals, The both nations would be keen to do well for opportunities to finish on the top of the standings after the round robin. The Chinese skip's stone didn't manage to knock Korea's out of the house. Vice-skip then perfectly placed his final stone, Securing an early two-point advantage. China pulled off two excellent shots. The host nation had little to cheer about. Wang then perfectly placed his final stone to give China a valuable four point haul and 5 point lead midway. Korea's skip set an early marker and the sixth that would prove unbeatable. (CHEERING, APPLAUSE) Despite China's best efforts, The end would go the way of Korea as they pulled ahead six-five. China levelled the scoring in the seventh, But in the final end China's stone fell short. Korea won. The result left them in second place in the round robin. China sat in third but both had Medal matches to look forward to. Canada had already booked their place in this semi finals. They would try to keep theirMomentum going and Finland were playing for honour. It didn't take long for the Finns to get into the game. With the penultimate rock, Finland put an excellent stone into the house. This gave the Canadian skip a chance for a take-out. But he ricocheted off his own stone. Canada slowly got back on terms with Finland, the teams were level going into the sixth. His shot caught on his own stone, In Finland had to settle for a single point. They had the momentum into the latter stages, But Canada showed their quality in the seventh. They put another stone into the centre of the house. Three points to Canada who lead going into the final end. Another two points in the eighth gave Canada the victory.
