The women's slalom. Athletes complete two runs and the fastest racers when the medals. 12 take part with their guide. Millie Knight had won 2 medals. But if she wanted better than a silver, she would have to go faster. It was no surprise when they set the fastest times. Even the British were nearly 2 seconds ahead of the rest of the field. First of the two Brits, this is Knight. 2.61 is the gap. You would consider it to be comfortable and another medal for the lady who has battled so hard with the problems She has had which have been mental ones, opposed to her vision. Knight finishing on a high. Here is the second of the British athletes. Fitzpatrick. She stretched the lead she had over Millie Knight. This is going to be a big finish. 1.59. On to this lady. Henrietta Farkasova. She had a couple of falls. She was not dominant in Sochi. But she is aiming to win all five medals here. Can she get it? No! That is sensational! Menna Fitzpatrick is the Paralympic champion. Two more medals for the UK. It is gold here at the Winter Paralympic Games. It is gold for Great Britain. The standing classification was next. Rothfuss put herself in medal contention. Bochet would be looking to match her four medal haul from Sochi. 18-year-old Canadian has won gold and she went faster to go second in the afternoon runs. Andrea Rothfuss is going well. She will go top! Mollie Jepsen for a chance of winning a fifth silver. She needs to try and find something, dig deep. She has done it. Andrea Rothfuss has to settle for bronze. Marie Bochet. The brilliance of Marie Bochet is just shining through. There are very few opportunities. It doesn't look like she will make a mistake. It is flawless. The brilliant Marie Bochet does it again! She has four gold medals and a DNF in Sochi. And it is a mirror image four years later in PyeongChang. (WHISTLING AND CHEERING) THE SITTING CLASSIFICATION HAD BEEN CLOSELY CONTESTED. Momoka Muraoka had been on the podium in all four previous sitting events. It was only bettered by Germany's Anna-Lena Forster, who was seeking her second gold of the games. (CHEERING) Austria won gold eight years ago. This is Heike Eder from Austria Trying to pick up a Paralympic medal. No issues. The four ladies have to get past 204.85 before they consider calling themselves medallists. Momoka Muraoka is only young. She has every aspiration of going to the summer games as well. Can she get herself top? Of course she can. Anna-Lena Forster is the natural successor. If she can remain error-free in this bottom section. She would be a double gold medal winner at age 22. The lady from Freyburg has dominated the course. Wins the title by over five seconds. It is two gold-medal is for Germany's Anna-Lena Forster. Momoka Muraoka gets herself another medal. Anna-Lena Forster comes away from her second games is a very recognisable name in the women's sitting category. The final of the ice hockey was the most Anticipated match of the tournaments. USA versus the world champions Canada. Already for a clash of the Titans at Gangneung Hockey Centre. Dodson opportunity on the angle. That is a tight angle, But he holds his line. It is a great outside play now. I do not think that came off Steve Cash. He darted into the right position, But he missed. Cash bought the move but Hickey HE DRILLS THROUGH CASH HE OPENS UP THROUGH THE LEFT HAND SIDE HERE HE PUTS THE PUCK RIGHT THROUGH THE BACK OF THE BUILDING ALMOST THAT IS MASSIVE THIS MIGHT BE HARD FOR BOTH SIDES TO GET THEIR PACE BACK DOING HIS BEST TO GET BACK A BIG CHANCE HE JUST FLICKS IT AWAY JUMPS OUT OF HIS SLEDGE DOMINIC LAROCQUE STAYS WITH IT. SOMETIMES IT FORCES THEM TO USE THEIR HEAD. A GOOD FIRE DOWN THE CENTRE FARMER WITH A REAL OPPORTUNITY IT IS SAVED! TAKES AWAY THE EFFORT FROM FARMER. BIT MORE ORTHODOX FROM FARMER. SURELY ONE OF THEM! STILL FARMER ON THE TURN. WAS THAT ONE PASS TOO FAR, I'M NOT TOO SURE. THE AMERICANS TRYING TO SCORE THE PERFECT ONE ON THE POWER PLAY BUT NOT THE TIME TO DO IT ON THE GOLD MEDAL MATCH FACES OFF AND WINS IT. DOMINIC LAROCQUE SAVING 13 OUT OF 13 THE AMERICANS HOLDING THE UPPER HAND WHEN IT COMES TO THE SHOT COUNT CAN ARMSTRONG CLOSE IT?! HE HITS THE POST. THAT WAS CANADA SURELY WINNING THEIR FIRST GOLD SINCE 2006. GOTTA MANAGE IT BETTER. OPEN GOAL BEHIND THEM. HE'S GOT OPTIONS! IT'S COME BACK. FARMER! WHAT IS GOING ON? DECLAN FARMER! 37 SECONDS LEFT ON THE CLOCK. HE'S CAUSED CARNAGE HERE IT LOOKED LIKE IT WAS NEVER GOING TO GO IN. CANADA COULDN'T SWEEP IT AWAY. FARMER HAD NO CHOICE. HE HAD TO HIT IT FIRST TIME. DOMINIC LAROCQUE IS FINALLY BEATEN. CANADA 1- USA 1. THEY ARRIVE AND CREATE THE CHAOS HERE. US HAVE FORCED THE GAME INTO OVERTIME RIGHT AT THE DEATH. IF CANADA ARE GOING TO GET THEIR FIRST GOLD MEDAL IN YEARS, THEN THEY HAVE TO WAIT FIVE MINUTES MORE. IT'S TOO MUCH TO HANDLE FARMER! WHAT A SAVE BY DOMINIC LAROCQUE! I DON'T KNOW HOW HE DID IT. HERE COMES CANADA. HICKEY WITH SOME REAL PACE STILL ALIVE. OH GOODNESS ME. BOTH SIDES BRINGING THEIR OFFENSIVE A GAME TO THE TABLE. AFTER THE DEFENCE WAS SO ON TOP IN REGULATION. HICKEY. GIVES HIM THE RUNAROUND GETTING INVOLVED. WALLACE DUMPING IT FORWARD. TREMENDOUS IF HE COULD'VE EXECUTED IT. NOT SO THIS TIME. TRYING TO KEEP THINGS GOING. FARMER IS COMING ALIVE AFTER SEEMING HESITANT IN REGULATION. BIG CHANCE NOW. HICKEY CAME ACROSS. FARMER! OH HE'S GOT IT! THAT IS WHY HE IS ON THE ICE. THAT IS WHY HE IS THE MAN FOR THE USA. OH MY GOODNESS ME! WHAT A FINALE. IT IS SAD FOR THE CANADA. THEY SNATCHED THE SILVER MEDAL RIGHT AFTER ALMOST HAVING GOLD. IT'S DEVASTATING FOR CANADA. WHAT A DRAMATIC ICE HOCKEY TOURNAMENT FROM PYEONGCHANG. THIS IS SPINE TINGLING FOR THE AMERICAN.S THEY HAVE THE SMILES ON THEIR FACES. THEY ARE HAVING A GREAT TIME BUT ALSO A LOT OF EMOTION. BUT TO BEAT YOUR ARCH RIVALS IN OVERTIME IN YOUR FIRST PARALYMPIC GOLD MEDAL MEETING, THEY HAVE LIVED TO TELL THE TALE. The final event in cross-country skiing in PyeongChang were relay races. All classifications took part so skiers from standing, sitting and visually impaired could race each other. The rules made it possible for individuals to race on one leg. So some had to athletes and some had more than four. One of those visually impaired athletes was from the Ukraine. They made a strong start. They had to include at least one female and one male athlete. Coming around to complete the first lap is Yurk from the Ukraine. So many things Can go wrong. They will hope for a smooth handover here. Japan with the handover. The Norwegians coming in for the change are now. They are in the bronze medal position. Belarus are in fourth place at the moment. Japan coming through in second place at the moment. Dekijima. The Belarusian's have made up time with the current skier. As we would have expected. You are looking at two lengths completed now from the Ukraine. They just handed over. Norway fourth. 10.56.0. Belarus have just edged up by four hundredths of a second. Absolutely superb from the Belarusian. She did not have long Eskau to have a breather, refocusing And go again. The silver medal position now for Japan. The Belarusian's are behind the Japanese. Chomping at the bit there as the visually impaired athlete who will lead the Ukrainians home. The Ukrainian handover. They look very very good. Japan looking good for second at the moment. Kawayoke taking over. The speed and energy of the youngster. Germany have moved up in the Belarusian's have faded. Daylight the tween Shsykova and the rest. Lightning quick run here. We knew that Arendz was going to be quick. He is getting the Canadians on to the podium now. You are looking at the gold medal spot. Ukraine! They have the gold medal in the 4 x 2.5 km mixed relay. What a team effort! The real story in this final leg has been Canada. Mark Arendz. Ukraine had 24.31.9. What a run by the Canadians. Mark Arendz. Germany coming in for third. That was brilliant from Arendz. The bronze medal was won by Germany, Silver from Canada and Ukraine got the gold. The final race was the open relay. Some teams of this event consisted highly of male athletes. It was possible for individuals to ski more than one leg. France was the early lead on the first lap of the 2 km course. The Belarusian is coming through. Sneaking the leg here. Holub was timing that to absolute perfection. We are looking at the race leader. Just 21 years of age from Belarus. Leads the competition. It is Belarus who have the lead. It is a big lead. That was a really quick run. The Belarusian decision to save their athlete for the relay is paying dividends. The French are 13 seconds back here and it is a big gap to make up. First and third leg by Daviet from France. The Belarusian's have lost the lead. Hrafeyeva have dropped the Belarusian's down into third. Daviet is all alone as he comes around the final bend into the home stretch. Just 2.5 km left for their final athlete to run. Just 2.5 km between the French and the gold medal. France have this race in the palm of their hand. Norwegians looking good for the silver at the moment. 49.2 seconds is the lead that France have over Norway currently. The Ukrainians hand over now. It will be a race for the remaining podium positions. Canada in sixth place. 25 seconds off the podium. The team will try and lift them here. Through they come. It is a quick run by McKeever. He had an awful lot to do. Bringing the French home. The tricolour will be flying here. It's France! Clarion and his guide they are coming over the line first. A brilliant gold medal and a brilliant run for the French. A fabulous run as well by the Norwegian quartet. Ukraine with 3rd team to cross the finish line but the time had to be adjusted and it was not quick enough to beat the Canadians who finish in third place instead. The bronze medal was won by Canada, Silver Norway and the gold medal was won by France. (cheering` The PyeongChang Winter Paralympic games will soon come to a close. TRANSLATOR: DISTINGUISHED GUESTS AT HOME AND ABROAD. Just 10 days ago we gathered here to open our Winter Paralympic games. We face the final curtain. Touching stories. We will remember from them for ever In our hearts. We laughed together and cried together and shared together true Friendship. North and South Korean athletes also lit the torch. At this moment, it reminds me to never ever forget each other and it is my sincere hope that you will treasure sincere memories. Goodbye and see you in Beijing. Bangawoyo daehanmingook. Yeoreobun Jashineul Jarangseureobgae Saenggak Hasae Yo! Tonight is a celebration; a celebration that if you dare to dream, you must do your best to fulfil it. One man who had a dream was the late Professor Stephen Hawking, a genius of a man, a pioneer and inspiration to us all. He urged us all to 'look at the stars, and not at our feet.' And, over the last 10 days, the stars have shone brightly here in PyeongChang. Now I want pay tribute to those behind the success of these games. Thank you to the Games officials, National Paralympic Committees, International Federations and International Paralympic Committee team for your tireless work. Thank you to national government, Gangwon Province Volunteers ` Ari, ari! With your passion connected, you delivered not just new horizons but new records too. With more athletes, more countries, more media, more broadcasters and more spectators than ever before, you raised the bar for Beijing. Finally, the time has come for me to declare the PyeongChang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games closed. I call upon Paralympic athletes all over the world to meet again in Beijing, China, in four years' time, where once again, you will inspire and excite the world with your sporting excellence. Thank you! Muito Obrigado! Gamsahamnida! (CHEERING) (SILENCE) (CROWD CHEERS, APPLUADS) thank you for joining us for the PyeongChang Winter Paralympic Games closing ceremony. Thank you. Goodbye. It is never easy saying goodbye to hosts who have made you feel so welcome. The Republic of Korea and as bighearted people have done an exceptional job planning and delivering the Paralympic Winter games. It would be tempting after the Olympics to drop the enthusiasm and energy, But there was no sense of that. I think they only got better at hosting the world and their beautiful country. The culture, the flavour, the natural beauty of PyeongChang was elegantly displayed throughout these games. They open their heart and hosted the world's and some of the most spectacular sporting moments. When your hosts are smiling and helpful as they always had been, The task is far more achievable and enjoyable. A little bit of rain this evening was never going to dampen these celebrations. They have managed the gentle efficiency with the genuine and warm hospitality which has made our time here enjoyable For all the right reasons. It will be hard to say goodbye but it is always a privilege to work on a Paralympic games. The Korean people have made a great joy and we hope that some of that joy has made its way to you And that sometime soon we can do it all again. At the moment it is goodbye from PyeongChang.
